ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF SAN FRANCISCO (MHASF): MHASF is a mental health peer-run nonprofit located in downtown San Francisco and has been serving people and agencies across the Bay Area since 1947. As mental health consumers, we center the lived expertise of people with mental health challenges in our advocacy, education, and support programs. We believe that dignity and recovery in mental health are something everyone can experience. Our staff is dedicated to creating spaces for learning and healing around stigmatized and under-resourced areas in mental health-hoarding and cluttering behavior; post-hospitalization peer support; mental health and nutrition; peer mental health workforce development; and much more. OVERVIEW OF POSITION: The Education & Innovation Program s Coordinator will be under the Director of Education & Innovation's direct supervision and responsible supporting and enhancing three key programs: PROPEL: A Workforce Development Program, Tech @Hand : A Digital Literacy Program, and the Training Institute Program. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, implementation, and support of these programs to ensure their success and effectiveness. R esponsibilities will encompass a range of administrative tasks, program coordination, research, data analysis, and material creation. If you're seeking a role that serves others that allows you to draw on your own experiences with the Public Mental Health System and find value in the implementation process of programs that benefit the Peer community, we would love to hear from you!  TOP 3 RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Support and Coordination: Collaborate with Department Director and Program Managers to ensure smooth communication and coordination between different programs. Research and Data Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and innovations related to workforce development, digital literacy, and training. Administrative Tasks and Logistics: Handle administrative duties such as preparing documents, presentations, and assist in scheduling meetings, workshops, and training sessions for the department. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of department and program activities. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, community organizations, and potential employers. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between Department Director and stakeholders. Use research findings to inform program development and decision-making. Analyze program data and feedback to make data-driven improvements. Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to the Department Director and Program Managers. Maintain program records and databases to track participant information, program outcomes, and other relevant data. Present research findings and analysis results to support data-driven decision-making. Coordinate logistics for department -related meetings, workshops, and events , including venue booking, catering, and equipment setup. Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls related to Department and Director inquiries and updates. Support onboarding of new staff with Department Director ensuring smooth execution of schedules and resources. Develop and design program materials, including brochures, handouts, and training resources. Proactively address challenges and obstacles that may arise during program implementation. Collaborative Approach: Work as a team player, collaborating with various departments and teams to achieve common goals. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Identify opportunities for enhancing program efficiency and effectiveness and contribute to ongoing improvements. POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Proven experience in program coordination and administrative tasks, preferably in workforce development, digital literacy, or training programs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective collaboration with program stakeholders. Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and working in a dynamic environment. Willingness to learn from others, take feedback, and adjust communication and behavior. Experience taking initiative to self-educate about unfamiliar subjects or concepts.
