Data/Gis Analyst Jobs

The incumbent will be an integral member of the Mobile Health team and will own all data management, analytics and reporting for the purposes of transparent data sharing across the health system,

The Data/GIS Analyst will provide analytical solutions to departments across the enterprise, as well as be the lead for all SQL and GIS data management across Mobile Health,

The candidate will have a strong understanding of relational databases and Esri ArcGIS to be able to interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provides ongoing reports and dashboards,

Additionally, the candidate will manipulate large data sets to identify trends, develops charts, update maps and creates visual presentations utilizing a variety of tools,

The Data/GIS Analyst position requires a combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills,

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining various operational metrics and analytical insights across the division,

The Data/GIS Analyst will be critical in supporting the successful maintenance of existing and preparation for growth of the Mobile Health operation,

The incumbent will be a well-rounded individual with a range of capabilities, from completing detailed data analyses to collaborating with internal executives to ensure programmatic success,

The Data/GIS Analyst will work with the division leaders of Mobile Health to evaluate trends and develop solutions to answer business questions, and challenges,

The duties required in this position are including but not limited to the following:

Work closely with executives and other business leaders to analyze and surface valuable data/transformations/insights/metrics used to track operational standards and improve patient outcomes

Deliver reports/visualizations to internal groups that provide clear visibility for ways to improve patient care and capture operational/financial opportunities

Collaborate with project leaders and team members to define, design, and validate data pipelines that pull, integrate and transform data from Practice Management, Electronic Health Records, 911 Dispatch Systems, ArcGIS File Geodatabases and other sources/systems

Analyze and Maintain GIS Street Record Data for the 911 center

Analyze opportunities for our data applications to better identify/navigate improvement to patients experience

Support the development of department KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions

Present KPIs to internal leadership on a regular basis

Prepare reporting on regular cadences ranging from daily to annually

Structure large data sets to find usable information

Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

Data/GIS Analyst skills and qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to tell a succinct, meaningful, and actionable story with data using visualization and other techniques
• Exceptional skills in data mining, analysis, interpretation, and application to business objectives
• Time-management and Organizational skills required
• Prior experience as a Data / Business Analyst preferred
• Proficient with healthcare / claims data preferred
• Familiar with BI visualization tools e.g. Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, and Izenda
• Technical writing skills
• Strong SQL skills, e.g., joins, aggregate functions, subqueries, data cleaning/shaping
• Excel proficiency, e.g., functions like XLOOKUP, Excel tables, PowerPivot/PowerQuery
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Familiar with Esri ArcGIS Pro and can evaluate and transform data within as needed.
