UCF’s Advancement & Partnerships division comprises the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving and the UCF Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to assist donors wishing to offer private support to deliver resources beyond traditional funding sources, such as tuition, state support, and government research grants. We are a powerful team of 130+ professionals who support the university by soliciting, accepting, and managing gifts as well as engaging alumni. Together, we work with alumni, friends, corporations, parents, and others who seek to make gifts in support of priorities and initiatives in alignment with the university’s strategic plan.
The Opportunity:
The Database Developer will act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the department's enterprise data mart, advising on optimal table structures, maintaining data integrity, and extending the data mart and data warehouse.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports data integration interfaces between various campus applications and the primary CRM utilizing software and custom-developed software, including SSIS packages and the CRM's SDK.
  • Interfaces with Business Analysts and other members of the team to support opportunities for system improvement. Assists in identifying solutions to business process needs, either internally or via external resources.
  • Oversees and supports the design, coding, testing, and debugging of T-SQL/SQL views, procedures, and other database objects including providing SQL code reviews for other members of the team.
  • Assists in strengthening the CRM user experience related to data access and efficient user navigation. Stays abreast of BBCRM updates and new functionality.
  • The primary contributor to the design, configuration, and usability of Blackbaud CRM by utilizing Blackbaud's SQL-based software development kit to support data access and reporting data layer.
  • Ensures accurate and thorough technical documentation of business standards and business processes. Contributes to the development of technical specifications for projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skill in understanding and translating business needs and requirements into technical implementations.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience in Advancement or a related field such as higher education, non-profits, marketing, or sales.
  • Extensive experience as a T-SQL developer Experience in designing and maintaining data warehouses and enterprise data marts.
  • Knowledge of (CRM) Customer Relationship Management software/applications and their structure.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The salary for a well-qualified candidate is expected to be in the range of $85,285 - $104,235 based on a combination of education and experience.
