Job Description

Job Title: Senior Oracle Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC, USA

Full Time

Technology: PL/SQL and Database SQL, UNIX scripting

Job Summary:

Customer is looking for Oracle Senior Developer that support Oracle DBs and have PL/SQL development experience. They will be migrating to the cloud over the next few years, but they need someone that has experience to support the current technologies as they begin to shift to the cloud.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Oracle Developer will be a part of team that supports Oracle databases and PL/SQL development.
  • Applies best practice for tuning for overall system performance.
  • Extensive experience with database development tools (Oracle, Toad), ETL and integration technologies
  • Prepare and review system documentation composed by development teams.
  • Prior experience working with Apache NiFi, AWS, Snowflake is preferred
  • Provides support for software releases
  • Researches interfaces to identify and code required updates to support integration
  • Develops effective and efficient PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers and functions according to design specifications.
  • Experience with 19c features such as in-memory pinning
  • Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
  • Design, implement, code, test and maintain Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Script code and functionality.
  • Supports software development and test teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Includes incremental script execution and defect resolution.

  • Experience with 19c features such as in-memory pinning
  • Prior experience working with Apache NiFi, AWS, Snowflake is preferred
  • Experience with managing and resolving problems on a live production system.
  • Ability to perform PL/SQL coding assignments including stand-alone SQL scripting and database stored code (triggers, packages, procedures, and functions) in compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and review system documentation composed by development teams.
  • Provides support for software releases
  • Supports software development and test teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Includes incremental script execution and defect resolution.
  • Ability to Setup, Maintain and Enhance Partitioning of Table Spaces
  • Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
  • Firm understanding of the overall architecture required to support common schema based objects used to store data and implement business logic.
  • Researches interfaces to identify and code required updates to support integration
  • Applies best practice for tuning for overall system performance.
  • Develops effective and efficient PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers and functions according to design specifications.
  • Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning techniques including query plan understanding and management, SQL tracing, DB stats, indexing techniques, using AWR reports etc.
  • Extensive experience with database development tools (Oracle, Toad), ETL and integration technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in
1) Oracle SQL scripting and database stored code (triggers, packages, procedures, and functions)
2) UNIX Shell scripting
3) Oracle Database core concepts
4) Oracle Performance tuning

Preferred Qualifications:

NiFi, AWS, Snowflake

Years of Experience Needed:

12-13 Years
