Job Description
  • Some travel to Maryland will be required.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of database operations, MySQL, MS Access, VBA, JAVA, and SENCHA as well as database hardware, network operations, and web hosting.
  • Task 1 Help maintain the client database to ensure full operational capability for day-to-day operations. Current development relies heavily on user feedback to catch errors. The contractor will debug coding and correct functionality based on user feedback and the client programming team prioritization.
  • Degree(s) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Task 5 Participate as part of a development team that will combine capabilities from other programs developed by other units across the client enterprise into the database aimed at providing client users an end-to-end full-service workflow management, project financial planning, and real-time solvency tool.
  • Task 4 Continue developing new capabilities for the database application in JAVA/SENCHA according to the priorities outlined by the development team.
  • Experience in database management including MS Access, VBA, and web-based programming languages.
  • Task 2 Help maintain the operational and development back-end structures.
  • Task 3 Provide database application support to client users in Boulder and Gaithersburg. Support shall be limited to Boulder or Gaithersburg operating hours (but not both). Support shall include responding to requests for support via phone or email within one (1) business day and resolving issues with already deployed application programming that prevents full functionality within one (1) business day.
  • Experience with the current NIST Admin Portal is highly desirable.
  • Provide all support for project oversight, administration, and technical execution.
  • Provide ongoing programming and database design support.
  • Task 6 Report progress on the above tasks monthly. The Contractor shall submit this report monthly, fifteen days after the end of the month reported.
