Job Description
Overview:
BR IT Synergy LLC (Synergy) is the technology arm of one of the largest conglomerates in Puerto Rico. It was created in 2009 with the purpose of having a presence and representation in front of the Puerto Rico Telecommunications Regulatory Board. Since then, Synergy has been providing support, IT Management, and connectivity to all its sister operations while also expanding its functions and services particularly into the areas of Project Management, Software Development and CyberSec.
Responsibilities:
  • Experience in UX/UI design and development is desirable
  • Familiarity with .Net, C#, HTML, CSS is desirable
  • Willingness to learn new tools, platforms and environments
  • Maintain a growth mindset and a focus on continued learning
  • Familiarity with Github
  • Take good care of our API and be a passionate advocate of integration
  • Collaborates well with a team
  • Be capable of delivering high-quality software as a member of a software team
  • Independent learner who loves to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in developing and deploying mobile apps is desirable
  • Support the development that will grow business and introduce new trading opportunities in a timely manner

  • Working in a cross-discipline team, using agile development methodology that requires active participation in all team’s activities, focusing on a common team goal

  • Establish and own our strategies for Security, Performance & Testing
  • Provide technical and operational support on all components of the trading platform and provide technical and operational support
  • Define, measure, and own our Continuous Delivery strategy
  • Ability to work with git and GitHub
  • A high level of curiosity
  • Experience with Linux at a command-line level
Qualifications:
  • Able to work some evenings & weekend as per project’s needs.
  • Preferred licenses or certifications required by the position: AWS, II, DOD, SSL, SAML, ITIL, IAT, ADM, V4, JAVA
  • Forethought, with the capacity to identify and minimize risks.
  • Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • A customer centric; friendly and self-motivated attitude.
  • Familiarity with tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance.
  • This is an in office/ onsite job opportunity.
  • In-depth understanding of prevailing project management methods.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension.
  • Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths.
