Database Administrator Ii (Remote Work Eligible)

As a Database Design Analyst II, you will work with database management systems and design and implement solutions to store, organize and secure data. You will identify user needs and set up new databases, both on premise, and in the cloud. In many cases, a Database Design Analyst must integrate data from outdated or legacy systems into contemporary data management systems. You will also test and coordinate system modifications and troubleshoot problems when they occur. You will maintain system performance, understand the platform on which the database runs, and provision and manage system access.

This role is open to 100% remote work in most states
Responsibilities:
Design and implement solutions to store, organize and secure data
Set up new databases; on premise and in the cloud
Integrate data from outdated or legacy systems into contemporary data management systems
Migrate data from one database technology to another (i.e. Oracle to MS SQL)
Test and coordinate system modifications and troubleshoot problems when they occur
Maintain system performance, understand the platform on which the database runs, and provision and manage system access
Must-haves:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Command of SQL and SQL server tools
Experience with database technologies
Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Preferred:
Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
Experience with the database technologies (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS Redshift)
PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $79,264.96 - $108,989.32. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
