Data Scientist Internship Jobs

Job type: Part-timeHours: 10 – 15 hours/weekSalary: Unpaid

• Conduct research on economic issues and present research findings through technical reports and presentations
• Formulate recommendations, policies, or plans to solve economic problems or to interpret markets
• Collaborate with other departments
• Build financial models in Excel to support investment strategies
• Assist in conducting economic and fiscal impact analyses and feasibility studies
• Help compile, analyze, and report economic and statistical data to explain economic phenomena and forecast market trends, applying mathematical models and statistical techniques
• Help analyze large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns

Required Qualifications

• Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra)
• Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets, and business goals
• Proficient in SQL and Python
• Analytical mind and business acumen, and problem-solving aptitude
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or relevant field
• Understanding of machine-learning
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in economic impact models and related analytical and quantitative skills
• Experience in data mining
• A Master’s degree in a related field

• The Internship Program will run between 9/18/2023 – 12/15/2023
• Less than 10 hours/week on-site required
