Data Science Internship Jobs

Solomon, the leading performance improvement company for the global energy industry, is seeking candidates for a Data Science internship.

The Data Science Intern will work with the Data Science team to help with a variety of projects, including:

• Data visualization
• Development and implementation of data science solutions
• Writing reports and presentations on data science projects
• Data analysis and machine learning
• Data collection and cleaning

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience with data analysis and machine learning techniques
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Completion of 1 years of a 4-year college degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Data Science
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or a similar language
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Decision trees
• Unstructured data from text files, images, and videos
• Write reports and presentations on data science projects, including but not limited to:
• Structured data from databases
• Analyze data using statistical and machine learning techniques, including but not limited to:
• Collect and clean data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to:
• Random forests
• Seaborn
• Building machine learning models, latest OpenAI GPT-4, LLM models from Google and AWS
• Work with other team members to develop and implement data science solutions, including but not limited to:
• Tableau
• Logistic regression
• Automating data collection and analysis
• Visualize data using data visualization tools, including but not limited to:
• Developing data visualization dashboards
• Matplotlib
• Linear regression
• Power BI
• Presenting data science findings to management
• Social media data
• Support vector machines
• Communicating the results of data analysis to stakeholders

Required:

• Good written and verbal communicator, detail-oriented, organized, and quick learner
• Strong time management and analytical skills
