Job Description

We are seeking a Data Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting our programs by managing and analyzing data. As part of our team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate data reporting and contribute to our mission of unlocking the potential in each person we serve. This is a grant-funded position with the possibility of further employment opportunities within our organization.
Role And Responsibilities
Provide data management support for multiple SAMHSA grants and other organizational projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to meet data reporting requirements for grants and programs.
Develop and maintain manual data tracking mechanisms as needed.
Monitor and maintain client-level data entry in SAMSHA's Performance Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS) and electronic medical records (EHRs).
Extract and analyze data from various sources for aggregate analysis.
Prepare timely and accurate analysis reports to support business needs.
Ensure data accuracy and resolve any errors.
Assist in writing policies, corrective action plans, and compliance reports.
Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications/Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Associates degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with at least two years of related experience OR High school diploma or GED with at least four years of related experience.
Strong attention to detail and advanced computer skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a complex organizational environment.
Comfortable working remotely.
Willingness to travel within the metro-Atlanta area up to 20% of the time.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and data management skills.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in a healthcare or behavioral healthcare environment.
Familiarity with SAMHSA's Performance Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS).

Schedule
This position is full-time, working an average of 80 hours bi-weekly. Flexibility is required to meet program needs and availability on an emergency or project basis. Primary hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Some temporary or permanent transfers to other locations or shifts within our organization may be necessary.
