Job Description
Responsibilities


The Data Engineer assists in the design, integration, build, and maintenance of data pipelines and data transformation algorithms for enterprise data analytics consumption. You will be part of a team that is responsible for data integration, monitoring of data storage, and data distribution across multiple on premise and cloud data environments. You are passionate about learning how to create data platforms to enable rapid application development and integration. Collaborating with other team members in your team will assist in your success here, it will be a large part of your workflow so you must be comfortable being flexible in a fast paced environment because it allows you to learn and grow.


  • Troubleshoot coding issues
  • Platform administration and development for Informatica, Mulesoft, Azure Data Services, and PowerBI Schematic Layers.
  • Provide detailed approach and estimates for project solutions.
  • Generate data schema layer and regular datasets for end-users using system tools and databases or data warehouse queries and scripts.
  • Demonstrate experience in cloud technology specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience with relational & non-relational databases. Experience with SQL Server databases and TSQL scripting.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
  • Acknowledge and continuously tackle issues identified for all deployed software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL/API scripts and tools for data integration between applications and platforms. Experience with Informatica, ADF, SSIS, and C# is a definite asset.


Qualifications


  • Azure Data Services technology or similar platform (AWS, Google Cloud etc.).
  • On-Site at Spirit IT Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale/Miramar, Florida; MUST be local or willing to relocate and work on-site 100% of the time.
  • Domestic & international travel under 10% of time.

  • 3-5 years' IT experience
  • 3-4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working for complex and fast paced organizations.
  • Azure Fundamentals preferable
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver quality solutions.
  • Experience in ETL/API Tools and ETL/API Concepts (Informatica, Mulesoft, SSIS).
  • Advance degree preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with a globally distributed team.
  • Azure Administration preferable
  • 3-4+ years’ experience with one or more data and cloud technologies (e.g., AZURE, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, etc.) and a willingness to learn how to leverage these technologies to improve the overall business.
  • Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Should be familiar with secondary tools such Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio etc.
  • Data Schema Knowledge in relational and non-relational database design and development.
  • 3-4+ years’ experience developing secure, high performing, reliable, and scalable Data Solutions for integration into applications.
  • TSQL Experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of data management including: Extract, transform, load, API Concepts for relational databases, Data warehousing, data marts, data stores, data sets.
  • 3-4+ years of proficiency in ETL or API Technology Concepts.
  • 3-4+ years of experience in Advanced with SQL Server databases and TSQL scripting.
  • Understands the Agile Development Process
