Job Description
POSITION TITLE: DATA COORDINATOR RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Administrative Officer SUPERVISES: N/A POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Coordinator serves as a liaison between client service staff and software systems to collect data, assure data quality and interpret demographic and service data. This position coordinates use of the agency's databases for use in reporting, quality assurance and program design; manages staff access, performs customizations and quality assurance and troubleshoots data issues. The Data Coordinator develops reports, queries, charts and visualizations to provide accurate, usable information and assists staff and leadership in understanding their data. Attention to detail, ability to understand abstract concepts, and communication skills are vital to this role. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform data cleaning and quality assurance for multiple client databases, including data that is manually entered, imported, or exported. Support database users and user roles including providing basic training, limited helpdesk/troubleshooting for end users. Develop touchpoints, filters, queries, crosswalks and option lists to collect and aggregate data between multiple systems and users. Develop and support data integrity processes. Troubleshoot reporting database environment and reports. Manipulate data in spreadsheets and perform basic statistical analyses to identify trends and opportunities. Develop reports and analysis from single or multiple data systems for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, grant reporting, and strategic analysis. Utilize data visualization techniques to help interpret data, track outcomes and key performance indicators. Collaborate with Client Services and grants staff to determine appropriate ways to collect data for new programs and outcome goals. Serve as liaison to database software companies for troubleshooting and programming new options. Assure consistency and reliability of data reported by the agency to funders and the public. Assist with strategic decisions on new or upgraded software systems. Schedule and facilitate quarterly outcomes review meetings. Prioritize data security and confidentiality. Develop and revise documentation systems as needed to promote efficiency. Promote Caracole services within the community. Identify and pursue educational opportunities to promote professional growth. Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience including coursework in statistics, data analytics or informatics. Minimum two years of work in a U.S. office environment; experience in a non-profit organization highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working intensively with Excel and with relational databases and with including querying and reporting. Highly detail oriented. Ability to problem solve, think independently, and collaborate with others, and independently manage complex workload. Proven ability to work harmoniously with ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse groups of individuals. REQUIRED SKILLS: Advanced computer, keyboarding, and mathematical skills, including advanced proficiency with Office 365, Excel and relational databases. Read, write, speak and understand English with good verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of data visualization and interpretation techniques. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in verbal, print, and electronic communications. Teamwork and ability to collaborate with nontechnical staff. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is a hybrid position; in a 5-day workweek, the employee typically works 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days remote at home. Work is generally 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, operate a telephone and computer. COVID 19 vaccination (or waiver) required upon hire. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. SALARY AND BENEFITS: This position is full time, salaried: $57,000 - $61,000 annually.
