JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing data solutions and creating visualizations to gain insights. They should have prior experience in data mining, transforming data, and building data pipelines. Strong presentation skills are required to effectively communicate data products and services, uncover insights, and lead discussions with the leadership team.
Project/Day To Day
Utilize statistical techniques to interpret and analyze data, and generate ongoing reports
Optimize statistical efficiency and quality by developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies
Obtain and maintain data from various primary or secondary sources, and manage databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, and clean data to locate and correct code problems
Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs, and seek out process improvement opportunities
Top Requirements
MUST HAVE QLIK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics. Master's Preferred or relevant work experience (+5 years)
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Technical expertise in data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Strong proficiency in Qliksense, databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, etc.), and programming languages (e.g. XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g. Python, R, and/or Stata)
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information
Proficient in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
Experience with data visualization tools such as Qliksense, and the ability to translate business analytics needs into visualizations and semantic data access requirements
Collaborate with data engineers to design complex data sourcing, transformation, and aggregation logic to meet business analytics requirements
Assist in generating hypotheses that drive strategic questions to drive operation efficiency throughout the business
Additional Information From Manager
Will look at resumes with 3 years of experience if they have Qlick experience
Large Enterprise Experience Is Preferred
Tenure is important, does not necessarily want someone who work contract after contract. Needing a candidate who wants to convert and has a history of long term positions
Domain experience is critical because they will be helping build the domain
Data Analyst will be a part of a new team that uses a hybrid analytics model.
