Purpose of Position:
Make-A-Wish Arizona has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a growing, high-performing team that helps drive Make-A-Wish Arizona’s decision-making through data-driven practices, analyses, research projects, and systems support. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of highly-visible, exciting, analytic projects while encouraging creativity and growth within the team. The role will work closely with Make-A-Wish America and other Make-A-Wish chapters on data quality/integrity gaps as well as solutions and enhancements to the Salesforce system we rely upon.It will also provide broad exposure to the nonprofit and social services sector in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Data Analytics/Analysis:
- Supporting adherence to data quality protocols and performing quality assurance testing
- Finding areas and ways to automate/improve recurring business processes
- Assisting the fundraising efforts of the Chapter’s Development Team through training, data support/analysis, data fidelity and development of tools to meet emerging fundraising opportunities
- Using Lean Methodology for process improvements (Six Sigma certification a plus)
- Unearthing patterns in data that warrant further investigation and analysis
- Effectively communicating sophisticated analyses outcomes to a broad audience, including executive leadership and department heads
- Serving as Subject Matter Expert on Salesforce
- Utilizing appropriate tests to draw conclusions yielding accurate, action-worthy insights
- Managing and extracting data from a variety of sources
- Sharing data with stakeholders on fixed intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly and annual reporting)
- Building real-time dashboards that present essential wish granting, fundraising and financial data for agency stakeholders
- Partnering with leadership to identify areas for growth and increased mission impact by analyzing data from across the organization
Systems Support:
- Providing ongoing support of existing systems and related processes
- Helping to leverage the full potential of newly adapted data systems (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite)
- Contributing to the vision for larger project builds (e.g., data warehouse)
- Coordinating the collection and processing of survey data
- Applying appropriate research methodology and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting small- to mid-scale research projects using administrative datasets with sources ranging from finance, mission, development, and donor care
- Supporting the development of survey instruments and implementation of survey instruments intended to improve the services provided to Make-A-Wish Arizona stakeholders
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
·Other duties and special projects as assigned
·Assisting Program and/or Development Team with tasks during peak seasons (e.g. annual gala, Summer wish granting)
Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
·Bachelor’s degree
·Minimum of two years professional, full-time experience in an applied analytical role
·Strong communicator, able to effectively partner with others (within and external to the organization)
·Ability to confidently multi-task as needed
·Experience with Salesforce in a data management capacity
·Experience with Netsuite or other financial software
·Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, VBA, Macros)
·Demonstrated experience with dashboarding software (e. g. Python, Tableau, but preferably Power BI)
·Able to work independently
·Detail-oriented, organized, and effective problem solver
