Data Analyst Jobs

Our client in Stoneham, MA is looking to add a Data Analyst to the logistics support team. This newly created role will support the Operations teams to assist in planning and analyzing company analytics and reporting needs through the development and maintenance of data mining, modeling. This individual will also work to rebuild manual workflows into automated data pipelines, reduce manual reporting and improve automation of reporting.

This person will also be involved in the development of predictive models for inflation, pricing, variance analysis, Distribution Target Cost and customer churn utilizing artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand issues, clarify needs and define modeling requirements in close partnership with all members of the operations team
• To query large data sets, distill key insights from data and tell stories in a visual format
• To provide ad-hoc financial modeling support using SQL, Power BI Data Models, and Excel as applicable
• Special projects and other duties as assigned
• To provide business analysis support for automation and self service efforts and supports streamlining efforts
• To analyze financial and operating metrics such as price and volume impacts, gross margin, product and market segment analysis
• To track and analyze capital investments, and maintenance and upgrades of financial return (IRR) models currently in use to decide on capital projects for the Cylinder Gas Operations departments
• To develop processes to monitor data quality and accuracy
• To develop the appropriate dashboards / reports, mostly in PowerBI to assist in data visualization

Requirements:

• Knowledge of SQL is a must
• In depth knowledge of PowerBI
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to get to root cause of issues quickly
• 3+ years of relevant data analysis experience in logistics
• Methodical and extremely organized with the ability to work and navigate within a fast paced and complex organization
• Detail-oriented and strong analytical ability with Power BI, SQL and Excel. Excel experience must include VBA Codes and Macros
• Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements a plus
• Experience / knowledge of predictive models and methods
• Ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environment, competing priorities and deadlines
