Cyber Security Engineer Intern

WebSniffer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Cyber Security Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our cybersecurity measures to protect our systems and data from potential cyber attacks.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our software development lifecycle
• Provide support to the Cyber Security team in implementing security controls and incident response plans
• Monitor our systems and networks for any security breaches or anomalies, and respond quickly to any incidents that may arise
• Perform vulnerability testing, risk assessments, and security audits, and provide recommendations for improvements
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and trends, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate potential risks
• Assist in designing and implementing security protocols and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
• Enrolled in a degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus
