We are looking for a Cyber Information Security Architect to be part of a team of Information Security professionals. As a Cyber Security Architect, you will report to the Manager of Information Security and work with a team whose objective is to support the strategic mission of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) for Information Security. Our team strives to be "Agile, risk-focused and forward-looking to ensure sustained security and resiliency of Federal Reserve important assets." You will play an important role with managing risks to FRS systems and data, and join a team that is customer-focused, passionate for information security and focused on learning and development.
Responsibilities
  • Define the information security framework for the 8th District, which includes enforcing the National IT security framework and filling any gap that exists with local policy and procedures.
  • Perform architectural design reviews of complex systems to ensure security standards are being followed using a threat centric approach (Threat Modeling).
  • Define security requirements for cloud containerization methods and technology
  • Be the District security subject matter expert on Cloud and emerging technologies
    • Provide input to strategic plans for secure operations of district cloud services
    • Define technical security standards as we transition to a DevSecOps Agile environment
    • Define security requirements for cloud containerization methods and technology
    • Architect secure solutions for emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Define technical security standards as we transition to a DevSecOps Agile environment
  • Provide input to strategic plans for secure operations of district cloud services
  • Produce security standards, aligned with Federal Reserve System standards to be used during risk assessments and design reviews for applications. Analyze complex technical requirements for proposed solutions and new technology implementations for agreement on security principles and architecture. Provide guidance and system direction to teams on security best practices and solutions to comply with policies.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical area experience in a complex enterprise IT environment; including experience with a security focus
  • Security experience in DevSecOps including implementing and monitoring application security testing tools in a cloud-based environment
  • Experience designing secure solutions while balancing our requirements
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower grade and pay range.
  • Experience implementing security controls in an IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environment for a public or government (FedRAMP) cloud environment
  • Analyze and assess complex technical plans using threat modeling techniques
  • US Citizen
  • Travel (5%)
  • Well versed in application security testing methods such as SAST, DAST, RASP and IAST
  • High level industry certification helpful
  • Experience with the inherent risks with cloud services and reveal cloud security capabilities and gaps to stakeholders
  • Experience with containerization methods and technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, or commensurate experience

Salary: $145,000 - $160,000
