Reports To: Customer Service Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor (CSS), the Customer Service Representative's (CSR) primary responsibility is to own the order entry process for customer orders and arrange freight for our three cheese plants in Ellsworth, Menomonie, and New London. This role will be responsible for receiving and reviewing customer orders through email, entering orders into our ERP system, DSI, while verifying price and lead time. The CSR will work collaboratively with the CSS, production, and packaging teams to ensure confirmed orders and lead times are able to be produced. The CSR will also communicate changes to the customer, either directly or in partnership with the CSS or sales team.

Essential Functions

• Other duties as assigned.
• Partnering with CSS and sales team to troubleshoot customer concerns and complaints.
• Maintaining a robust working knowledge of all products, services, contracts and commitments to answer questions and troubleshoot problems as they arise during customer interactions.
• Arranging freight with our preferred carriers for a select set of customers.
• Proactively communicates with CSS, Sales, Quality Assurance and Production on customer inquiries or complaints.
• Maintaining assigned records and generate reports to efficiently manage assigned workload.
• Maintaining positive relationships, both internal and external, to address product needs to ensure appropriate inventory will be available to meet sales requirements and customer requests.
• Contributing to a team and collaborative environment by accomplishing related project or tasks as needed to assist with department workflow and output.
• Receiving, reviewing, and entering all customer order for our 3 facilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, detail orientation and ability to multitask
• 2 years of experience in order entry or data entry
• Superior customer service skills
• 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• High School or Equivalent Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year ERP system experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field
