As a Quaker Sales Customer Manager (L10) Designate, you will receive 12 months of training including direct ownership of a customer, understanding how to leverage our vast portfolio of product and gain experiences navigating our organization. You will lead the day-to-day communication, selling and negotiation with your customer, as well as leading the development of the annual sales plan. What Critical Experiences would you gain as a Sales Customer Manager Designate? You will learn about our business model, our processes and gain the experience of how to influence your cross-functional cohort team. Through it all, you will also learn how to grow our business for and with our customers, across multiple categories.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer/channel expertise and leadership to drive the development of appropriate strategic and tactical plans within the business unit
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to annual KPIs, Big Bets and Must Wins
  • Develops winning partnerships with the customer and with internal PepsiCo stakeholders by influencing and penetrating multiple levels within both organizations.
  • Leads all aspects of customer’s joint business plan (JBP) process, including strategic and tactical plans, while ensuring Sr. Leadership engagement
  • Complete 6 month training program – Includes cross-functional training, customer ownership, and Senior Leadership exposure/engagement
  • Leads and develops customer Annual Operating Plans to deliver Gross sales, Net Revenue, Share, Executional Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI), and sales targets.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally with sales planning, category management, finance, marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure delivery of relevant innovation and key initiatives.
  • Manages all aspects of planning, merchandising, forecasting and checkbook management, as well as timely communication to all appropriate stakeholders on these critical tasks
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

  • Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 - $135,600.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support.
  • Strong planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills: the ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience; preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently without constant direct supervision.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Superior presentation skills, both in the development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
  • Exceptional leadership and customer management skills
  • Excellent communication skills: the ability to send and receive information clearly and concisely.
  • A minimum of 3 years of fact-based direct selling experience
  • Above-average finance skills in order to build a compelling profit win for a customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to work within and be successful in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Superior time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan.
  • Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external).
