THE OPPORTUNITY
What You’ll Be Working On
We are looking for a Creative Project Manager to join the MyFitnessPal Marketing Creative team. This role is instrumental in helping our team deliver on schedule beautifully crafted marketing communications, including emails, social media posts, app store graphics, blog posts, in-app messages and more. The role acts as liaison between Marketing and Creative ensuring that marketing’s communications are executed and delivered in an environment of collaboration and thoughtful design.
Responsibilities
  • Reprioritize projects if needed when unforeseen priorities need to take precedence over existing projects.
  • Review creative briefs submitted by Marketing to ensure their requests are clear and the timelines reasonable.
  • Review project statuses daily and take actions needed to keep the projects on schedule.
  • Manage the review/approval process for all projects following a carefully curated process that ensures all the right people are included at the right time in the lifecycle of the asset’s creation.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the creative team and with key partners throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with marketers, designers and copywriters to clarify project goals and own the design process from start to finish, delivering final assets on time.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to assign creative leads to projects and, if needed, strategize pathways to fulfillment of complicated multi-channel projects.
  • Maintain close communication with Marketing partners to ensure resource allocations and workloads are consistent with priorities and required deliverables.
  • Schedule kickoff meetings for campaigns and complex projects that include all the right people from Marketing, Creative and Product teams.
  • Know when to bring together project teams to mitigate spin and get teams back on track.
  • Conduct weekly review meetings with the Creative team to ensure priorities are clear, projects are on track, and address blocks to fulfillment of work.
  • Schedule interim milestones for each project and ensure the Creative team is clear on expectations and is aligned.
Qualifications
  • Experience with social media channels and app store communications
  • Strong organization and file management skills
  • Working knowledge of design and project management software, ideally figma and jira, the main tools in use by the team at MFP
  • Collaborative spirit, good attitude
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Brandfolder (or other DAM) a plus (not required)
  • Strong team player with confident leadership skills
  • 4-5 years of creative project management experience, focused primarily in marketing communications and digital platforms
