Senior Creative Project Manager (Design)


Expedia Group’s Global Marketing Communications team is dedicated to developing and executing innovative and effective global marketing across our family of brands. Within this organization, the Creative Project Management team is responsible for the flawless running and organization of our Brand Pods and the projects within them, annual and quarterly project forecasting, resourcing, and prioritization. As a Sr. Creative Project Manager on the Design team, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day aspect of our design projects, driving creative workflow and maintaining operational excellence.


We are seeking an enthusiastic person who can contribute a team environment and wants to be part of an evolving organization. This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication, organization and leadership skills. There will be a lot of hands-on work required in the initial months as the team gets up and running.


What You’ll Do


  • Monitor all project milestones and be the driving force to ensure creative is approved and delivered on time
  • Build project workback schedules for each of your projects and share with the appropriate creative team, business partners and stakeholders
  • Independently steward day-to-day project management of multiple design projects, serving as primary point of contact with creatives, business partners and leaders
  • Champion creative workflow processes and tools to ensure consistency
  • Maintain detailed and clear organization of your projects in Jira, monitoring tickets, setting up tasks/sub-tasks and responding to comments promptly
  • Work across UK and US timezones. The hours are skewed to early US (West Coast) mornings/later UK evenings to allow for maximum hours spent with the UK and US offices.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency and proactiveness to ensure work is completed according to deadlines
  • Contribute to annual and quarterly forecasting for upcoming campaign priorities for your area of ownership
  • Work with business partners to ensure accurate briefs are provided and dig in to understand the asks for the creative team within the brief
  • Set up and lead project kick-off meetings, creative review meetings, leadership review meetings; take and distribute detailed notes and action items in a timely matter
  • Manage project intake of design related requests related to your line of business, assess resourcing and prioritization needs
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, reviewing all work to ensure it complies with legal and all creative updates and revisions are accurate
  • Manage localization and relevant trackers to ensure creative is versioned properly
  • Anticipate and mange potential blockers across concept development, production, and delivery phases; flag to appropriate partners and proactively find solutions


Who You Are


  • Familiar with managing a large cross-functional team of stakeholders and driving alignment across all aspects of a creative project
  • An effective and concise communicator
  • Someone who thrives in maintaining organization, finding efficiencies and building, improving and simplifying processes
  • Well versed managing design creative projects across all production all channels (email, websites, landing pages, programmatic, CRM, OOH, print, etc.)
  • A project management professional with 5-7 years experience in creative project management within an agency or brand side creative organization
  • Resilient and constructive when faced with change; able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances
  • Experienced in working with project management software/tools, specifically Jira and Smartsheet


The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.


Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
