Join the company behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets, and Sing. As an intern at Illumination, you will take part in cross company learning, partner with innovative leaders and teams, and have a seat at the table in our latest endeavors.
Illumination is seeking a Creative Marketing Intern for Summer 2023 to work closely with our Creative team. If you are someone that is digital savvy, loves big ideas, has a pulse on emerging technologies, and wants to understand the business behind the brand then this is the internship for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Research pop culture trends and insights
  • Create presentations to express concepts
  • Help develop big ideas in response to briefs
  • Contribute to team brainstorms
  • Identify creative ways to connect with audiences
  • Write copy for scripts, social media and marketing touchpoints

Qualifications:

  • Critical thinker with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 8 weeks, both in-office and WFH
  • Fluent in Google Docs programs
  • POV and understanding of culture marketing, social, and content marketing
  • Passion for storytelling, digital experiences, and new technologies
  • Evidence of creative and campaign ideation
  • Students returning to College or University in the fall are eligible to apply
  • Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback into revised work
  • Must be authorized to work int he United States without visa sponsorship by the company.
  • Fluent across all social media platforms, with an in-depth understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Preferred major(s): Digital Arts/ Media, Communications, or Digital Marketing, Advertising
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to be in the Santa Monica studio 3 days a week without relocation assistance from the company.
The salary for this position is $16.50/hour.
