Job Description
WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?
KidStrong is a fast-growing child development program with centers located across the US, as well as an online platform. Our milestone-accelerator program for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends, run the playground, and raise their hand high in the classroom. In other words…kids who will win at life.

OPEN ROLE:
KidStrong is looking for a full-time Creative Director to join its Marketing team based in Frisco, TX. Our ideal candidate is a highly proactive, hands-on, strategic leader who can develop and implement successful brand marketing programs to tell the KidStrong story to consumers across multiple channels. The Creative Director sets the definition of how that story is told, with words and visuals, and ensures that all team members deliver consistent, differentiated brand messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and meetings with internal and external stakeholders about projects, as assigned.
  • Selection and management of key agency and creative partners to execute strategy.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the integrity of the brand in all respects, across the KidStrong network.
  • Develop the marketing and creative plans across brands and oversee its day-to-day implementation.
  • Plan and organize brand marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they are aligned with the brand’s unique voice.
  • Manage and develop a team of brand experts.
  • Lead efforts to develop and evangelize global brand standards.
  • Ensure a cohesive advertising message across campaigns.
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy for new and existing products.
  • Represent the voice of the consumer ensuring all marketing programs are rightly targeted to drive the brand strategy with KidStrong’s target consumer.
  • Build a central brand positioning, framework and design system.
  • Develop a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that tells the KidStrong story consistently, regardless of delivery channel.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and critical issues.
  • Identify and implement brand amplification opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field required
  • Understanding of principles/methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to work with a wide range of personalities.
  • Prior experience managing associates.
  • Must be able to work both at home, and in our HQ office (approx. 60/40 split).
  • Highly proficient in design, typography, retouching using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction.
  • Eight or more years of experience in managing marketing functions in a combination of at least two of the following: a medium or large-size company, a franchise organization, an advertising or digital marketing agency, and/or a company that primarily serves consumers (B2C).
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Data savviness with a clear comprehension of modern marketing operations and advertising.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills are very important.
  • This position is responsible for leading a team of direct reports including scope and responsibility management, including, but not limited to, 1:1 coaching, motivation, corrective actions, and employee relations communication and actions.
SPHERE OF INTERACTION:
  • This position will work closely with the entire KidStrong, Inc. organization as well as working with KidStrong, Inc. Area Developers.
  • The Creative Director reports to the Head of Marketing and will lead a team of brand, content and creative professionals.
  • A high level of collaboration and professionalism is required.
