Job Summary/Purposes
The role of the Financial Cost Control Analyst is integral to Prada’s Finance team and fundamental in ensuring the Company’s financial integrity and controls. This individual will be responsible for validating, analyzing, and reporting the expenses and investments supporting the Company’s operations. We are searching for an experienced Analyst/Controller to join our team to assist in performing these functions and contributing to the success of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Track monthly expenses to identify misallocations, opportunities for savings, and compliances with company policies
- Review variances of actuals vs budget: evaluate performance, identify risks, and provide suggestions to reduce costs / improve Company results
- Maintain accurate reporting and proper financial controls, including thorough reviews of allocations, rents, and variable costs
- Participate/support in the preparation of the monthly reporting package for all US companies presented to HQ and Prada USA CEO/CFO
- Work closely with HQ Controlling Dept, local Finance Dept, and departments throughout the business on all relevant cost control matters to ensure alignment in reporting and procedures
- Provide support during the monthly financial closing process, including reviewing accruals and other accounting activities
- Develop/create other management reporting as required, always working towards continually improving the processes/reporting accuracy, efficacy, and efficiency
- Assist in creating detailed cost budgets and forecasts, working closely with the Financial Controller
Requirements
- Comfortable multi-tasking with accuracy under aggressive deadlines
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to quickly assess issues and react to new information and changing circumstances
- Ability to build partnerships and communicate ideas across all levels and departments within the Company
- Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate with little direction
- Demonstrated expert level of Excel skills (Pivots, VLookups, Sumifs, complex files and formulas)
- Proactive work ethic with excellent project and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be proficient in compiling, verifying, and analyzing large volumes of raw data from multiple sources
- SAP experience is highly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experince in cost control/finance/ financial planning & analysis work within the Retail or Luxury Fashion industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Ability to anticipate, accommodate and lead change to achieve goals
The annual salary range for this position may vary from $80,000-$90,000, and if applicable, may be eligible for bonuses and other incentive opportunities. The rate of pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
