Corporate Financial Controller Jobs

We are actively searching for our newly created Corporate Financial Controller for our Global Manufacturing Headquarters in the North Charleston, SC area. You will be pairing up with the CFO, operating as their financial business partner, and providing leadership and direction, being hands on with all of the day-to-day financial accounting functions. The controller will also oversee the job costing and WIP accounting with the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of our projects.

Controller Duties:

• Support the preparation of quarterly financial analysis to be presented to leadership
• Review accounting records to ensure accuracy in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure consistent implementation of effective internal controls across all accounting departments
• Partner with leadership to develop financial modeling to support growth strategies and enhance margin performance
• Review financial results and work with leadership to generate strategic initiatives to increase efficiency and improve profitability. Support the use of KPIs and dashboards to facilitate management decisions
• Review month-end reconciliations and account-closing processes
• Support the formal annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Review monthly forecasts for feasibility and reasonability. Partner with the Corporate Finance leadership team to generate the consolidated budget and forecast
• Preparing for Audits and working with Auditors during the Audit
• Responsible for being hands-on with the day-to-day financials, and managing/mentoring a couple of staff accountants as we grow, as well as helping implement standard accounting policies and procedures

Controller Qualifications:

• Experience working with accounting technology, systems, and software
• Strong ERP experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills essential
• Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines while maintaining strong accuracy
• WIP/Project-Based Accounting
• Manufacturing/Industrial experience
• Strong multitasking, planning, prioritizing, and executing skills are a must
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to make recommendations and implement changes required
