Financial Controller Jobs

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team in the veterinary industry. As a family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital that offers specialized veterinary services, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care to pets in Florida and South Carolina. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the management team, providing financial oversight and strategic guidance to help drive the growth of the organization. Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is passionate about providing exceptional veterinary care, and the Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations support that mission.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the financial performance of the organization including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, monthly and annual reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll
• Collaborate with other managers to develop and execute business plans and strategies
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Analyze financial data and perform financial modeling to support decision-making
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Flexible office available attached to a main hospital locations- Tampa FL, Bonita Springs FL, or Greenville SC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Not a telecommuting position.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Masters Preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting
• Demonstrated leadership ability and a team player mentality
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
