Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Corporate Director, Compliance. The Corporate Director, Compliance is responsible for managing processes to maintain an effective Corporate Compliance Program and to serve as a resource for Shriners Children's workforce members. The Director assists the Chief Compliance Officer in the continued development and implementation of Shriners Children's Program, and serves as a focal point for activities related to compliance and may interact with the Board, Leadership, hospital colleagues, and home office staff as appropriate in the development of compliance policies and reporting on compliance matters.


This is a hybrid position based within the general Tampa Bay area, primarily working remote from home with the need to attend onsite meetings as needed.


Responsibilities include monitoring, identifying and assessing areas of compliance risk and develop recommendations to mitigate risk; working with management to enhance and maintain an effective corporate compliance program; responding to requests of authorities in any compliance-related review or investigation; and ensuring the delivery of appropriate training and orientation to workforce members, serving as a resource in resolution of compliance-related questions and issues.


The ideal candidate will have 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably within healthcare compliance and in a healthcare provider setting; 3 years in a healthcare managerial position, including experience working with senior management and board of directors; and 3 years of experience conducting complex compliance-related investigations. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage multiple projects simultaneously is important for this role. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, including a familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures, as well as rules, regulations and trends within healthcare, is critical. A current Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
