The Corporate Controller will oversee accounting for Laitram, LLC, including accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, fixed assets, cash flow analysis, audit, and financial reporting and analysis. This position will report directly to the Director of Corporate Operations.


Laitram is comprised of four operating divisions - Intralox, Laitram Machinery, Lapeyre Stair, and Laitram Machine Shop.  We employ more than 3,700 people worldwide and have 22 offices in 9 different countries. Responsibilities


  • Ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Works with the operating divisions to promote best practices and procedures.
  • Oversees and directs budgeting, audit, accounting, and forecasting activities for the organization.
  • Directs the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, and governmental agency reports.
  • Analyzes company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposes strategic direction for reducing costs while increasing value.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; identifies any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required and Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation required.
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in financial management required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of accounting software and familiarity with MS Office tools.
  • Proven success in a supervisory role.
