The Washington, DC office of ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join its dynamic corporate practice group. The DC corporate group focuses on mid-market M&A transactions, joint ventures and debt and equity finance transactions across a variety of industries, including beverage & food, lodging and hospitality, digital media, and banking and financial services. Marquee clients of the group include the nation’s largest airport concessionaire, a leading digital media company, a leading supplier of wine and spirits, preeminent hotel brands, regional and national restaurant brands, mid-market private equity funds and high-profile family offices.

The ideal candidate would have the following characteristics:

1. Three to five years of experience with M&A transactions, joint ventures, and debt and equity finance;

2. A high degree of comfort working on deal teams of varying sizes;

3. Experience coordinating extensively with specialists;

4. Experience in drafting principal transaction documents, ancillaries, and resolutions;

5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex concepts into targeted and commercially focused communications, both written and oral; and

6. Dedication to high-quality work, responsiveness, and efficiency.

Candidates should be licensed and in good standing in DC (or able to waive into the DC bar). ArentFox Schiff offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. Please submit resume, law school transcripts and a writing sample.

The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $230,000 to a maximum of $295,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
