Job Description

The Corporate Accounts Manager serves as the primary point of contact and relationship holder for assigned corporate account customers for Kedrion Biopharma, Inc. The purpose of these relationships is to build win-win partnerships that drive contracts and ensure access to end users that will enable Kedrion to surpass its sales and business goals. Reporting directly into VP of Corporate Accounts with dotted line to associated Corporate Accounts Director, the Corporate Accounts Manager is assigned to Sub-Group Purchasing Organizations and IDNs within an assigned GPO, Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors and Payers (MCOs).


Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness and understanding of the implications and opportunities of contracts, vertical and horizontal integration of companies, and general value-added program effectiveness.
  • Develop C-Suite level relationships within targeted entities for portfolio promotion with heavy focus on contract generation.
  • Negotiates contracts that are mutually beneficial to Kedrion and the customer, while ensuring fiscal responsibility to Kedrion.
  • Develop account sales plans to increase penetration of Kedrion products in IDNs, with support from respective GPOs and Distributors. Provide timely critical feedback to all key stakeholders
  • Lead pull-through and contract compliance updates with Hospital Area Sales Directors and Regional Business Managers to share contract updates, performance and highlight opportunities for compliance and growth.
  • Responsible for analyzing and understanding sales trends for Kedrion portfolio, achieving defined goals, and promoting a mutually beneficial business relationship.
  • Identify new accounts and grow existing accounts in sales volume and expand portfolio opportunities with existing customers.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews, professional meeting participation, and other necessary activities for full contract monitoring and pull-through.
  • Collaborate with CAD, Business Intelligence and Brand Leads to develop pricing and/or performance contracts with various classes of customers and oversee full implementation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key individuals within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Regional Purchasing Collaboratives (RPCs) and Health Systems, as well as GPOs/Distributors/SPs such as: Directors of Pharmacy, Clinical Programs, Purchasing, Member Education, Regional VP/Sales Personnel, P&T committee members and Distributor key personnel.
  • Comprehensive contract negotiation and administration, including strategic business case develop, implementation, and on-going performance measurement to ensure pull-through and contract compliance.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration with business intelligence, finance, sales leadership, the marketing organization, legal and other members of the commercial organization to ensure effective and compliant contract negotiations, execution and revisions and contract pull-through/compliance.
  • Collaboration with associated GPO NAD in the strategic targeting of top Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), Sub-GPOs, and Health Systems for product portfolio growth and expansion.

Experience and Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to navigate Payer coverage policies and triage reimbursement challenges is preferred
  • Roll-up sleeves mentality. Can manage both at a strategic level and conduct administrative duties to see work through to completion.

  • Existing relationships with IDNs, Group Purchasing Organizations, Specialty Distributors, Hospital Health Systems and Specialty Pharmacies. 1-2 years is required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management including C suite to create mutually beneficial agreements
  • Self-motivated
  • Prior Plasma therapies experience required
  • Intermediate level MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
  • Candidate must live in proximity to a major airport
  • Ability to conduct travel within assigned region and nationwide travel as necessary
  • Understanding of Reimbursement methodologies and Payer/Managed Care Organizations and PBM business structures

  • 5 years field-based and hospitals sales experience preferred in plasma derivatives, rare disease or orphan drug space
  • BA/BS degree required (MBA or similar graduate or advanced degree desired)
