About the Position
The Copywriter, Brand Voice & Editorial Strategy is a key member of our creative content team who is responsible for both creating and shaping all Lilly Pulitzer written content. As the brand champion of editorial storytelling and voice, the Copywriter will bring the Product Content strategy to life through aspirational words that lead to profitable growth in the Lilly Pulitzer® business. This is within the context of the current company strategy, brand positioning, and overall product strategy. The ideal candidate is a strong, creative, dynamic storyteller with the ability to elevate the brand through a Resort Chic lens by choosing strategic words and fostering a shared sense of wit and optimism with a clear fashion point of view.
A day in the life:
- Lead the evolution of Lilly Pulitzer brand voice and tone in alignment with our modern brand vision
- Drive editorial storytelling in partnership with the VP of Fashion Design and Concept and the Director of Creative Content to bring fashion inspiration, key product information and seasonal initiatives to life
- Demonstrate strong creative skills, out of the box thinking and take initiative in a fast-paced fashion environment
- Understand what drives the business and engages the consumer within the scope of copy
- Study the competitive copywriting landscape and stay on top of moving the brand forward, always innovating
- Create copy that tells a consistent story across media, digital and brick and mortar
Brand Voice & Editorial Strategy copy responsibilities include:
- Develop daily e-mail, social media and ad copy: accurately convey clear, concise and compelling product stories and incorporate them appropriately as a piece of the aspirational editorial vision in alignment with the creative content team
- Curate editorial stories: concepting for seasons ahead and then connecting the dots and conveying the inspiration in an aspirational way to the consumer
- Tell compelling and concise stories through video, both short and long form
- Create other cohesive copy for the brand including Onsite/ App/SMS/CLP/Store Signage and other copy needs
- Innovate in print storytelling in order to delight the consumer while striking a balance of both elevated and fun
- Establish both internal and external Brand Voice Guidelines as key component of refreshed Brand Identity

What You Bring To The Table
- Generally, 4+ years of editorial fashion writing experience preferably with a multi-channel women’s fashion branded apparel company
- Upbeat team player as the copywriter will be working with various key players on the creative content team daily
- Excellent grammar and spelling with strong attention to detail for proofreading
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively while completing deadline-oriented work
- A four-year college degree is required in English, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.;
- Strong understanding of SEO

- This position is classified as full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. This position is eligible for overtime and standard company fringe benefits.
- Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, working hours during peak periods.
- This position is hybrid, based out of our home office in King of Prussia, PA.
