Vanguard's Brand Marketing team is expanding its capabilities to better define and tell Vanguard’s story in ways that set us apart and inspire action. We’re currently looking for a Brand Marketing Consultant to drive strategy, creativity and consistency across the enterprise. This new role will help connect brand marketing and advertising campaigns, with strong ties back to Vanguard’s mission. Their key role is to consult with international marketing stakeholders, serve as a go-to resource for senior leaders and crew, and help us build and grow our brand across the globe.
This role:
- Educates and inspires crew on branding and best practices that build and reinforce brand perceptions. Develops and delivers formal and informal training, including educational materials and tools.
- Consults and works effectively with senior managers, product/service owners, and SMEs in both marketing and business roles. Serves as an advisor and go-to resource on Vanguard brand strategy, architecture and expression.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks on marketing activities. Communicates solutions on key issues to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.
- Supports and advises on the development of international marketing initiatives to meet the needs of our audiences, helping them best leverage brand strategy to drive desired perceptions of Vanguard and meet their objectives. Helps evolve U.S. campaigns as needed to resonate with target audiences around the world.
- Supports implementation of Vanguard’s brand architecture guidelines, including naming and product/service positioning.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to ensure the right solution is developed for various partners and regularly communicates status updates to stakeholders, including sales professionals, business leaders, team members, and senior managers. Host quarterly forums bringing together U.S. and international marketing crew to share best practices, discuss learnings and collaborate on upcoming campaigns.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders, with ability to inform and influence key decisions.
- Develops deep understanding of business needs and strategy, and actively keeps up to date on evolving trends and the competition as they relate to brand and marketing strategy. Shares insights to guide the enterprise to remain competitive and continuously improve and grow. Proactively identify opportunities to improve positioning of topics critical to the business area.
What it takes:
- Undergraduate degree in marketing or equivalent experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum five years related work experience, ideally in marketing or advertising.
