Title: Cook – AM, Breakfast
Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday, Full Time
Off days: Thursday and Friday
Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30pm
Pay: $20 - $22/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $250 after 1 month
Retention Bonus: $600 after 6 months
Benefits and Paid Time Off: Yes

WHO WE WANT
A coachable cook with at least a few years of experience, skilled with handling all manners of kitchen tools in a safe and efficient manner. This person has a passion for the culinary arts and has the stamina to endure the heat, grease, high pressure and long hours on your feet. An excellent cook knows how to communicate well and collaborate with the kitchen staff to consistently produce top quality dishes, as the cook is 100% responsible for the quality of meals served.

WHO YOU ARE
You truly understand cooking concepts such as timing, heat application, tasting and seasoning, not just following a recipe. You have a positive mindset and possess a knack for making other people smile. You’re adaptable, open to change, and inspire creativity in others. You value human connections and take extra steps to build trust with people. You believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and display good patience for those who need more encouragement.

WHAT THE ENVIRONMENT IS LIKE
You will see the Pacific Ocean every day you drive into work. You can have lunch on a bench close to the beach. The kitchen is spacious, but know that you’ll be exposed to heat, grease, high energy and long hours on your feet.

During work, you be will frequently be required to stand, walk, taste, smell, and clearly communicate. You must also be able to:

Regularly: lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts, exposed to moderate noise levels

Occasionally: lift and/or move above 50 pounds with the assistance from a co-worker and/or mechanical means. Exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold, extreme heat.
