Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team and help us automate our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems that will improve our efficiency and productivity. You will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our automated systems.

We are now one of the largest importers and distributors of fresh produce and specialty foods in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Our rich history continues today.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automated systems (ex. ASRS, AMR, Conveyance, etc.)
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for automation
  • Stay up to date on the latest automation technologies
  • Work with cross-functional team members to integrate automated systems with existing systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems

Qualifications

  • Experience with databases such as SQL Server and Oracle, a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in automation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI systems, preferred
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java, a plus
