Want to work for a certified "great place to work" company? WB Industries is an aerospace fabrication company looking to add to the great team we already have. We are in need of a Financial Controller with manufacturing experience. EPICOR experience preferred.

Objective


Responsible for the efforts, results, and success of an organizations finance department. Provides financial advice and support to help senior executives make key decisions.


Responsibilities


  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor and assist in the implementation of strategic business plans.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Oversee employee benefit plans, with emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
  • Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
  • Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
  • Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide a system of management cost reports.
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
  • Arrange for debt and equity financing.
  • Ensure all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable.
  • Ensure that accounts receivable is collected promptly.
  • Ensure required debt payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
  • Manage Accounting.
  • Develop/manage financial and tax strategies.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.

  • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
  • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
  • Develop and implement benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Physical Characteristics


  • This position is considered sedentary.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience


  • An MBA or CPA is absolutely required.
  • You must believe in continual process improvement.
  • Must have a passion for getting things done, and an appreciation for details.
  • Experience in all key areas is required.


Supervisory Responsibility


Supervise a team of up to 10 direct reports.


Work Location


Office and production environment with 100% of time expected to be worked on-site.


Travel


No travel required at this time for this position.


Environmental Conditions


  • May be subject to noise while in the shop. There is enough noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • Subject to environmental conditions. The facility provides protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. No protections from weather when walking between buildings.
