Job Summary:

This position directs the overall accounting activities of the Group. This position oversees the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated financial statements as well as monthly division financials to support profitable growth and strategic goals. This position manages the annual budget process with the divisions and tracks budget to actual variances. The Controller supervises Group accounting personnel. This person is responsible for maintaining the Group’s accounting systems to achieve proper application of US GAAP.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinating activities of external auditors and tax experts
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing new processes
• Managing the budget process
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Hiring, training, and retained skilled accounting staff

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise the accounting team

Skills/Abilities:

• 8+ years of professional accounting experience
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Strong understanding of internal controls
• Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial data analysis

Education and Experience:

• Required: 8 years experience
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Preferred: CPA or CMA
• Preferred: 5+ year public accounting experience

Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Up to 15% travel
