What does this role look like?
Join our Contracts team and become a part of something special in support of these missions. Our team needs people with strong business skills and a desire to grow and develop their careers in contract management.
The successful candidate will be high-performing, well-seasoned contracts expert able to perform complex efforts without appreciable direction. Responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration (including proposal efforts), establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations, both internally and externally, and supporting business strategies for new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising contracts leadership of contractual rights, obligations, and risks, conducting contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer-contact activities to ensure compliance with company policies, federal regulations, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, a successful candidate must be proficient in understanding contract terms and ensuring internal functional areas are able to effectively understand the impacts of agreements reached with external Customers.
The successful candidate thrives in autonomous and creative environments supporting dynamic onsite classified programs.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, generating and recommending solutions for complex contractual matters, developing a contracts strategy for proposals and contract execution, actively developing and navigating diverse customer relationships, creating risk assessments and mitigation plans for program use, assisting the leadership team on unique assignments that require contractual expertise and leadership. Teammates also have the opportunity to support on-boarding of new employees and facilitate a fun and positive learning environment!
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
Experience managing and negotiating contracts
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance (SCI Eligible), to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
Experience negotiating and managing various contract types
Knowledge of acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR)
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
