Job Description

Our client, a non-profit organization, is actively seeking a remote contract Director of Events to help them prepare for their annual conference in December! This candidate will play an integral role in the planning, coordination and execution of the large-scale event. We are looking for a candidate that can hit the ground running!

About You:

  • Expert organizational skills with the ability to prioritize details in a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • 5+ years of meetings/events planning and management experience
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this role
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • The ability to creatively solve problems and troubleshoot issues while under pressure

The Job:

  • Develop and manage meeting and events related budgets through all phases of event planning
  • Work with programmatic staff to ensure contracts are up to date and timely
  • Arrange all logistics: locating sites, organizing food and beverage, handouts, travel, housing, and much more
  • Research requests and submit request for proposals to venues
  • Assist with outreach for upcoming events and follow up with past attendees
  • Order supplies, liaise with vendors and pack/ship any necessary materials
  • Direct planning and execution for the organization's meetings, conferences, workshops, and other assigned special events nationally, with a special emphasis on a large-scale annual conference

This contract role is expected to last for at least three months and is paying up to $45.00/hour depending on experience. This position will sit remotely, however, accessibility to the Philadelphia area is required.
