Job Description
Overview
This role is responsible for performing basic GMP warehouse functions at Iovance Cell Therapy Center (iCTC) located in Navy Yard, PA. This will include handling vendor orders and interactions, checking all packages for quality assurance, inventory management, distribution, shipping, following safety regulations, and delivery of routine consumables and customized products across internal and external sites.
Individuals in this role should be extremely detail oriented and possess basic math skills. It’s also expected that the warehouse operator has adequate physical strength to successfully unload shipments. This position will also require operation of a forklift and other warehouse machinery. Hours vary based on the workload and may be outside the typical Monday through Friday, nine-to-five schedule.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Participate in the material flow and inventory management at 3rd party warehouses, where applicable.
  • Conduct regular physical counts on all inventory and reconcile with appropriate inventory management system, investigate raw material discrepancies/variances.
  • Dispose materials as per SOP requirements and state/local regulations.
  • Distribute product, supplies, equipment, etc. to various departments and facilities, internally and externally.
  • Maintain required technical training on SOPs and certifications (ie. cGMP, HAZMAT, forklift training, etc.).
  • Adhere to all safety warehouse operations and contents, security procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in non-conformance investigations and deviations where necessary.
  • Engage in necessary warehouse cleaning duties including but not limited to sweeping the warehouse and bulk storage, mopping, general cleaning and dusting of warehouse walls, door panels, racks, containers, etc., and transport trash to disposal areas.
  • Reconcile purchase orders and packing slips with appropriate Finance and Supply Chain Procurement associates.
  • Operator material handling equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Perform all aspects of receiving, handling, storing, shipping and documenting GMP and Non GMP raw materials, components, supplies and finished products in an accurate and timely manner.
Education And Qualifications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent 1-5 years of experience working in a GMP warehouse setting or in logistics experience in operating material handling equipment preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent organization skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Experience and/or certification in operating material handling equipment preferred (i.e. forklift).
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (Squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software (i.e. ERP/MES).
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well in a team setting.
