Description
The Asset Management Team is responsible for creating and implementing data driven strategy to solve business problems and support operational efficiency across the LURIN multi-family real estate portfolio. The Contract Administrator will be an integral part of the Asset Management team and will oversee the contracting and approval process for renovation projects across LURIN's multi-family real estate portfolio. This role will be responsible for managing LURIN's construction contracts from project commencement through final completion, identifying issues with budget and scope, tracking billings and funding, and managing vendor relationships. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, a critical thinker, and someone who is a self-starter. This is a newly created position in the company and will require someone who can step into a role without a well built out structure.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain LURIN's redevelopment contract and invoice processing systems
  • Prepare draw requests
  • Liaise with staff across all levels of the company
  • Ensure all relevant documentation accompanies contracts and invoices prior to approval
  • Manage vendor relationships / proactively identify issues and propose solutions
  • Review vendor contracts, change orders, and invoices for compliance with company requirements
  • Obtain redevelopment contract-related information from relevant parties
  • Coordinate approval process and signatures
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to multi-task
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe, MS Excel and Word, experience with MS Project is a plus
  • Prior experience in a construction contract administration environment preferred
  • Self-starter who takes responsibility
  • Strong critical reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills
