Job Title Continuous Improvement Lead

Job Summary


The Continuous Improvement Lead will- under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager and with support of management staff- own daily and weekly results as defined by the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS). Included in this is successful implementation of chapters throughout the facility- measuring KHMS and project effectiveness- and delivering KHMS training for the facility. The employee will lead 5S- Centerline- Clean to Inspect and Lube- transformation analysis- material usage tracking- and use of other KHMS and Continuous Improvement tools as required. This role will be the trusted partner for both Lunchables and Cool Whip Production Teams and other functional departments- deploying standards and helping teams understand and adopt more efficient ways of working.


Key Responsibilities Of The Role


  • Maintain a daily routine- attending Level 1- Level 2- and DDS meetings as assigned and performing daily Gemba with a focus on key material waste controls.
  • Monitor effectiveness of KHMS routines and provide insights to improve health of the KHMS program.
  • Perform waste analysis and / or loss studies as required.
  • Assign or lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to address line downtime- material- and other opportunities in accordance with escalation criteria.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities using a data-driven approach.
  • Comply with all established GMP- housekeeping guidelines- housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures.
  • Partner with production leaders on identification of implementation of process improvements.
  • Determine sources of impactful loss in yield- utilities- and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to aid plant in achievement of its Championship KPI.
  • Focus activity to closest to value-generating activity by spending the majority of shift on the factory floor.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPI) and methods of tracking for improvement projects.
  • Deploy key content in support of the Kraft-Heinz innovative management system- KHMS.
  • Share and implement best practice initiatives across departments.
  • Promote personal safety on the job in accordance with Kraft Heinz Safety Rules.


Working Conditions And Physical Requirements


  • Must wear following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) (hard hat- safety glasses- slip resistant shoes- ear plugs)
  • Frequent standing and walking required
  • Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • (Work is indoors- Primary production floor is wet- Secondary locations are occasionally wet- seasonal climate)

  • Competence in using Microsoft Office- including Excel- Word- and PowerPoint.
  • Ambition and initiative are required- this role is designed to lead / coach peers and develop future Process Owners
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a team environment.
