Construction Superintendent Jobs

Valfair Construction is hiring a Constructioin Superintendent. The Superintendent coordinates all site Excavation activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality construction, supervising all trade and field personnel, and administering good construction safety practices with all one-site activities; This position reports directly to the Construction Manager.

• 5 Years + relevant work history
• Manage all changes in the scope correctly. Understand the parameters of these changes and take the outlined steps to protect the company and ensure compensation
• The Superintendent is responsible for the expeditious and profitable resolution of all punch list items.
• Coordination of necessary personnel and equipment resources specific to each project's assigned needs.
• Provide the Field Management and coordination of all subcontractors/suppliers on your assigned Quality Excavation projects.
• Conducts and regulates required field maintenance of all equipment assigned to your project. Holds all operators to a clean equipment standard that is outlined in the company manual and manufacture recommend standard of operations.
• Superintendent must understand scope of contract documents in full.
• Creating and maintaining a culture that values safety, health environment and quality. Daily safety meetings are REQUIRED, and weekly safety tailgate meetings are required.
• Maintains weekly construction schedules, distributed by the Project Manager, daily time-card entry for production rates and quantities measured daily record drawings and on-site required documents. Along with a project record (Red-line) drawings.
• Previous Superintendent Work History (Excavation)
• History of Public Works, Excavation & Commercial Site Work Preparation
• Establishing and maintain all dimensional controls for the project to include the companies use of third parties for survey alignment.
• Extensive travel is REQUIRED to various Project Locations
• Responsible for the constant training of employees that are assigned to you.
• Continuous daily entries and management of all time-cards no later than 0600 the next day (weekends included) and entry of all materials, equipment and subcontractors. Diaries must be filled in daily, and Construction Manager must be informed immediately on all issues that cannot be settled in the field.
• Attends all mandatory project meetings and maintains a good working relationship with our customers/General Managers.
• Understands the project budget and executes procurement using best practices. Best practices shall include the practical use of company working capital, having material ready for use so as not to impede production and not exceeding what is necessary.
• Always maintains an organized project site.
• Valid Driver's License
• Ensure that all Copart Construction policies and procedures are followed.
• Bi-Lingual a Plus
• This includes all required job-site safety and quality control field inspections coordination and onsite testing of subcontractor coordination, and on-site quality control relevant to your assigned
