We are hiring for a Construction Controller in Chandler, AZ to work alongside our VP of Field Services, with direct reporting relationship into Finance. The position is responsible for the coordination of construction accounting activities within the total project scope, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with the Vice President of Field Services.
Responsibilities:

• Review and approval of construction expenditure purchase orders
• Optimize systems and propose changes and adjustments to get to industry standards
• Ensure smooth project cash flow by auditing, reporting, and summarizing projects in full
• Assist in maintenance and issuance of purchase orders, change orders and pay applications
• Improve accuracy and completeness of project budgets, cost to date and cost to complete
• Lead monthly reviews with Projects Teams and Finance
• Assist with updating the project schedules
• Implement and manage proper processes and controls to ensure all project spending is captured and reported in line with industry standards and US GAAP
• Reviewing lender pay application packages
• Design, maintain and present management level reporting throughout various levels in the organization
• Manage direct report(s), supporting development and growth
• Drive accountability throughout the Projects Teams
• Prepare schedule of values
• Set up new projects within project accounting system

Job Requirements:

• Ability to discuss projects’ performance throughout all levels of the organization
• Must have a minimum of (5) years of commercial construction accounting experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction manufacturing/construction environment where upfront planning is pivotal to the success of our projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to quick changes of priorities
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Problem solver
