Job Description

Overview

  • Work with an Engineering Consultant based out of North Carolina with a strong backlog of work and history of success.
  • The Construction Administrator will work closely with the Construction Services Manager and Construction Services Practice Area Leader
  • 75% office work / 25% on the job site
  • Oversee and manage the construction administration phase of projects and administer the construction contract by directing construction administration activities and monitoring for construction document compliance.
  • The Construction Administrator addresses, administers, and responds too requests for information, change order considerations and contractor issued payment requests.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Able to verify and check contract quantities / costs as related to contractor pay applications; be able to scale and measure distances accurately.
  • Must be able to accurately read and comprehend construction plans; keep accurate and complete
  • 6 years of progressive and relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of construction contract documents, including front end documents, general conditions, and technical specifications required.
  • Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Records documenting daily construction activities; be able to observe significant, multiple, and simultaneous construction projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 4 years of related experience
