Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
The Constitutional Law Center Fellowship is a federally funded position that provides new and recent law school graduates with a one or two-year opportunity. The Constitutional Law Service Fellow will implement a statewide program that provides post secondary professional training for public school educators on constitutional law and civic education. The program will consist of personalized support and trainings for educators, as well as an academic symposium that will offer a variety of presentations and high-profile speakers. Primary responsibilities include partnering with school districts, educators, academics, and state officials to implement the curriculum development program, creating resources for the program based on legal scholarship, providing trainings and one-on-one support on constitutional law and civics education, and planning an academic symposium for educators that relates to the program.

Qualifications
JD required. New and recent grads with 0-5 years of experience. A demonstrated interest in constitutional law, civil rights, education law, and/or civics; Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills as demonstrated through a writing sample, internships or clinical experience, and academic record; Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders; Effective written and oral communication skills in both legal and nonlegal settings; and Interest in public speaking opportunities. Pay flexible based on experience/qualifications.
