McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Carpenters II-III for an exciting Commercial project in Monroe, GA. In this role, you will cut, shape, and install concrete forming systems for large concrete pours. The ideal applicant has 4+ years of proven experience as a commercial carpenter and possesses excellent carpentry techniques.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Form sidewalks, pads, grade beams, and other ground level structures by properly following/reading layout (independently)
• MUST have experience with GRID CEILING
• Safely build wall form and deck form systems
• Recognize hazards and danger zones
• Safely strip wall form systems
• Safely form stairs
• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs
• Assist other trades when necessary
• Complete required training to use personal arrest system

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven commitment to Safety
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
• Understand construction terminology
• Able to plan and execute work with minimum supervision
• Minimum age 18+
• Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
• Able to work night shifts when needed
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Prior experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and lay out (transfer levels, off sets, and set points…etc.)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
• Must understand level, plumb, area and volume/square concepts
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Work in an organized manner
• Able to identify and differentiate form systems and its components
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
