Job Description

Global Compliance
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
Responsibilities And Qualifications
Core Compliance is a team within Global Compliance that, in part, is responsible for supporting the division’s leadership including division head, chief operating office and chief of staff. We are looking for a team member who can help support the division holistically as part of the management team. We are looking for someone who is equal part visionary and executor. At times, the role will require you to navigate and problem solve with multiple teams and stakeholders bearing in mind timelines and a senior audience.
Specific responsibilities will include being able to intake, review, manipulate and report on large data sets across our division as it relates to KPIs, KRIs, budget targets and headcount targets. Strong technical skills and the ability to work comfortably and seamlessly within excel, Alteryx and other data systems is ideal.
An Ideal Candidate Would Be Able To
  • Persistently follow-up with colleagues to ensure that appropriate information is obtained and timely recorded
  • Must be able to transform data into an executive-level narrative to tell a compelling story
  • Multi-task and have the ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effectively and efficiently conduct business with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with ability to quickly learn new tools, Alteryx experience is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deadlines
  • Meet tight deadlines and comfortably operate in the face of time constraints
  • Demonstrate resiliency and creativity when under pressure and when managing time-sensitive demands from competing stakeholders
  • Demonstrate very strong written and oral communication, as well as analytical abilities
  • Be detail-oriented, so as to consistently produce accurate work product
  • Leverage strong communication and relationship-building skills in frequent interaction with other areas of the firm, in particular, senior stakeholders
  • Identify and effectively escalate potential issues to appropriate person(s)
  • Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned task
Qualifications
  • Integrity, motivation, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm
  • At least 3 - 5 years of relevant post-undergraduate work experience
  • Familiarity with financial products and markets
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent time management, analytical and communication skills

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
