We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to join our close-knit team. As a Claims Examiner, you'll play a crucial role in managing a diverse caseload of 150-180 workers' compensation files. Your expertise will shine as you handle complex claims and ensure timely investigations, making a real impact on the lives of injured workers.
Here's what you'll be doing as a valued member of our team:
Taking the lead in claims investigation, ensuring a prompt and fair process.
Evaluating compensability of claims and administering benefits in accordance with state laws and our Company's compassionate guidelines.
Proactively managing medical treatment and billing, authorizing necessary services to expedite recovery.
Engaging with claimants, providers, and vendors with empathy, addressing any claims-related concerns with understanding and care.
Applying your sharp analytical skills to compute and set reserves, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Utilizing a well-organized diary system to stay on top of case reviews and maintain up-to-date files.
Keeping communication lines open, promptly sharing relevant information with clients to efficiently resolve claims and address safety concerns.
What We're Looking For In Our Ideal Candidate
Valid HI Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster Limited License - Your expertise matters to us!
A compassionate and proactive approach to claims processing - You'll make a difference in people's lives.
High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree preferred - Your dedication to continuous learning is valued.
At least 5 years of recent direct Workers' Compensation Claims processing experience within CA - Your experience is crucial in handling complex cases effectively.
Must have: CA SIP - Your knowledge will be put to great use!
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - You'll be able to communicate with ease, even when discussing technical details with various stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills - Building positive relationships at all levels is what we value.
Proficiency in Word and Excel (preferred) - Your tech-savviness will be an asset in our modern work environment.
