Cma - High Risk Ob Consultants

Busy, high-risk obstetrical office seeking a full-time, qualified, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Triage patient phone calls.
• Calling in prescriptions.
• Provide complete patient assessment, including vital signs, review of medications and patient history.
• Filing of medical charts.
• Obtaining prior authorizations and/or pre-certifications.
• Must have a high level of professionalism, an attention to detail and strong patient service skills.
• Adherence to all policies and procedures including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
• Monitoring and ordering of medical supplies.
• Non-Stress Tests
• Referrals to other specialists.
• Effective communication with providers, other team members, and patients.
• Appropriate documentation of data and assessments in the patient’s paper chart.
• Review of medical records from referring providers to complete chart preparation for upcoming visits.
• Blood draws.

Requirements:

• Experience in phlebotomy
• Position requires candidate to be on their feet, standing and walking, for majority of shift
• Comfortable with paper charts
• Certification through an accredited Medical Assistant program or active TN LPN license
• Travel to satellite locations
• At least 1-year medical office experience with OB/GYN experience a plus
