Are you ready to go beyond?

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting systems deployed in Azure and AWS. You will also be providing on-going maintenance support for things like patching, monitoring, backup and recovery.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ability to provide recommendations to improve availability or performance through monitoring, architecture or configuration changes.
• Provide recommendations and assistance migrating data and code to/from cloud.
• Technical troubleshooting of VMs, services, authentication and connectivity both within cloud and to services hosted elsewhere.
• Implement automation and manual system and configuration updates.
• Development of automations for Infrastructure as code deployments, configuration management and scripting on VMs (both Windows and Linux).
• Operate within ITIL framework for incident, problem and change management.

Basic Qualifications:

• US citizenship required. ( Green card is NOT a US citizen.)
• Bachelors Degree with 5+ years experience, OR Advanced degree with 3+ years experience. We will also accept an associates degree with 7+ years experience as well as a HS Diploma with 9+ years experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of container technologies
• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, with strong hands-on experience in Cloud Technologies or Systems Engineering.
• Strong drive to learn more each day.
• Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting cloud solutions including both VM and platform services (DBs, compute, storage, network, IAM, monitoring, logging, reporting, queuing, caching, data streaming, AI/ML, etc.)
• Ability to work with team members remotely from around the globe
• Both Azure and AWS experience/certifications are preferred
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps, focusing on Infrastructure Automation and Enhancement using any Orchestrator tools
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting cloud solutions
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues in complex systems
• Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality and security
• A passion for secure, scalable, resilient hosting environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in regulated industry

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
